Nigerian Senate on Wednesday oredered the Nigeria communication regulator to halt the proposed increase in data plan price which has been scheduled to commence from December 1st.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) had directed mobile telephone operators in the country to jerk up data tariffs with effect from December 1.
Senate urged Nigeria Communications Commission, NCC, to immediately stop planned data tariff hike until all parties are consulted.
Senate further mandated the Committee on Communications to investigate the allegations of failure of the service providers.
