Some Nigerians on Monday disagreed with the latest rating of the country’s economy by the National Bureau of Statistic (NBS) as the largest in Africa and 26th in the world, although Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) commended government for it.
A member of the House of Representatives, Ibrahim Tukur El-Sudi, described the rating as mysterious and “nothing more than paper work of statistics”.
The NBS released the information on Sunday following rebasing of Nigeria’s Growth Domestic Products (GDP).
