Nigeria's oil production output has risen to 1.9 million barrels per day from 1.6 million barrels per day, a spokesman of the NNPC, Garba Deen Muhammad, on Monday stated.
According to him, this is due to the recent repair works carried out on NNPC's oil pipeline.
"Production has increased because we are making repairs to damaged pipelines and installations. And we have not had any major attacks in recent times," he said.
This has been situation since last week, he added.
Nigeria's oil production output had been severely hit of recent due to attacks by militants in the Niger Delta region.
