Politics NNPC: Investigate Kachikwu's Brother, APC Youths Urge Buhari

The youth wings of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South South have asked President Muhammadu Buhari to investigate the activities of Dumebi Kachikwu, brother to the minister of state for petroleum, Emmanuel Kachikwu at the Nigeria National Petroleum ‎Corporation (NNPC).

According to DailyTrust, the national coordinator, Enebie Okoi-Anietak claimed that Dumebi, an Abuja-based businessman is meddling in the affairs of the NNPC.

The group claimed that he was taking advantage of his elder brother’s position of Group Managing Director of the NNPC as well as Minister of State for Petroleum, to control the affairs of the corporation, adding that he is a member of the ‎Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to them, if the minister’s brother is not called to order, he would use government resources to empower the PDP ahead of the 2019 elections.

They frowned upon “brazen attempt” by Dumebi to “dictate the affairs of the NNPC” without considering local interests especially those of party stalwarts and the APC youths.
