Neither a confirmed case of Ebola fever nor a suspected case has been reported so far in Mali, according to results from labouratory tests, cited on Wednesday.
On the sidelines of a joint conference by the Malian Minister of Health and Public Hygiene, Ousmane Koné, and the resident representative of the World Health Organisation in Mali, Dr Ibrahima Socé Fall.
Reporters gathered that tests from the samples taken from two Malian gold washers in Guinea returned negative results.
The minister said, however, that as additional preventive measure, the country’s health authorities had ordered that sample of the body cell of a Malian who died in Guinea, where he had gone to receive medical treatment, be taken for tests.
