Entertainment Nollywood Actress Mercy Aigbe Battered By Her Husband [PHOTOS]

Another Nollywood marriage has crashed. LIB is reporting that Actress, Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Lanre Gentry, Lagos Based Hotelier have separated.

LIB sources are claiming that throughout the 7-year old marriage, Mercy has endured domestic violence but it's gotten worse lately. The incident that led to the separation, took place last week - the couple had a nasty fight that left the actress with severe injuries.

She's currently receiving treatment in an unnamed hospital.

It's a shame. I really felt for her. Being a celeb, she might not want to tow the path Tonto, Tiwa and co did. But I guess she could no longer endure it....

As @curator rightly said, our religions and cultures forbid divorce and no matter how much it is the fault of the man, the woman will always be blamed. So sad!!!

This is so pathetic... I never knew it has generated to violence. All these men beating their wives should go face Mayweather since they wanna show muscles. The African culture has made lot of women victims all in the name saving a damn marriage. There are better ways to handling marital issues rather than violence.
