Nigeria's national security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki has asked INEC to extend the date for the forthcoming elections.
He said this in London on Thursday.
The reason he has given for this is that 30 million voters cards had yet to be distributed, making it essential for the elections to be postponed. This, he said, is especially so considering that INEC only managed to distribute 30 million voters cards last year.
“What sense does it make to vote three months early when there are 30 million cards still with INEC? That’s my position,” he asked.
