Prof. Olakunle Odumosu is now the Acting DG of the Nigeria Institute of Social and Economic Research, Ibadan. Odumosu being the most senior director took over from Prof. Olufemi Taiwo who had completed a term of four years.
Although the final days of his term witnessed agitation from a section of the workers, the former NISER boss said his four years in office brought stability with several policy memos developed for the Federal Government.
Prof. Taiwo urged the Federal Government to make the best use of outputs from policy research institutes like NISER with a view to taking correct decisions that would lead to national development. He said, during his four-year term, the institute conducted 63 studies and acquired 64 publications and 18 policy briefs.
