The tribal king of the land of Ogale in Bayelsa, HRH Emere Godwin Bebe Okpabi, has dragged the oil giant, Royal Dutch Shell to a London court after a devastation of Niger Delta community by oil spills.

Over the last five decades, Niger Delta has given multinational oil corporations infringed exploration access but unfortunately, the territory remains alienated from all types of development and all essence of quality human life.
However, in 2011 the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) exposed massive levels of pollution caused by oil spills from pipelines in the region.

The monarch explains that his people are dying from strange diseases, sudden impotence, and calls for the court to compel Shell to implement the UNEP report which states that the energy giant should provide the affected communities with water, take medical history and remedy the situation.
