Nigeria's finance minister and coordinating minister for economy has been sued by The ‘SIAO Partners’ for hiring Price Waterhouse Coopers,international audit and accounting firm to carry out a forensic audit on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
THE SHEET reports that the minister was sued alongside the NNPC. The plaintiffs alleged that the said foreign firm was appointed without any bidding by local industry auditing or accounting firm which was an abuse of due process.
The date for the first hearing is yet to be fixed.
