Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has been reported to have taken charge of the national team after he received the CHAN Eagles at the Pretoria airport on Saturday.
Oliseh has been away from the team for sometime due to an illness which he had to treat in Belgium, where his doctor resides.
“Oliseh is fully recovered now. We met him at the hotel on our arrival and he started training the team today (Sunday),” disclosed Oliseh’s special assistant Tijjani Babangida.
“He put the boys through their paces, correcting their mistakes and joining them in the game itself. He’s looking a lot healthier.”
The Nigerian national team will on Wednesday will play a warm-up game against another CHAN-bound team Angola, and will later face Cote d’Ivoire on January 11 before they depart for Rwanda. Africanfootball
