Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state reportedly refused to dance at the birthday party of the House of Assembly Speaker, Najeem Salam, because ''a debtor doesn’t dance''.
According to DAILY TRUST, the governor who enjoys dancing to his favourite songs on such occasions did not do so on Saturday.
''You know I’m a Kokoro (good dancer). I would have loved to dance but a debtor doesn’t dance. You know I owe the workers and that is why I cannot dance. Just bear with me today”, he said.
''Debt is a bad thing and I’m being careful with what I do because of the fact that I owe Osun workers. But you will hear a lot from me once I pay the outstanding salaries of our workers between August and September. Then, I can dance”, he said.
