Another post-election allegation has arisen from Omisore, who believes the Osun NYSC scheme and the OYES innovation are colluding to tilt the election's verdict in Gov. Aregbesola's favor.
Ahead Saturday’s governorship election in Osun, the standard-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Iyiola Omisore, on Monday, accused the state director of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Okpiroro Abada and Senator Isiaka Adeleke of allegedly plotting to use Osun Youth Empowerment Scheme (OYES) cadets to perpetrate electoral malpractices.
He contended that “there is synergy between Adeleke, a former governor of the state and Abada to substitute shortlisted names of serving corps members with OYES cadets, currently engaged by Governor Rauf Aregbesola’s administration.
In a release issued by Omisore’s director of media and strategy, Mr Diran Odeyemi, the PDP’s torch bearer said “we are raising this issue with a view to checkmate coordinated attempts to covertly rig Saturday’s poll by using these OYES cadets in subverting the collective will of the masses to elect me as the next governor of Osun State.”
