Nigeria's former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, claims the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is wining the Osun state election; Premium Times reported.

According to Fani-Kayode, "As far as we are concerned, by our own collation, we are ahead,” the former minister said. “We defeated them (APC) heavily in our strongholds and in their strongholds, the race has been very close.

"All these claims that they have won is not true. It is disinformation and we advise that people wait for INEC to announce the authentic result. I can tell you that it is not over".

Initially I wanted to give Femi some benefit of doubt concerning his sheer ignorance of matured politicking and his ignoble political inconsistencies. But his unbridled tongue which is uncontrollably flowing right and left has uprooted the root of the tree of the said benefit. When it is glaringly counted, recorded, affirmed and formerly accepted by all Parties at each polling booth, I never expected an ordinary man with something useful in his skull, not to talk of a former minister, to selfishly assert otherwise. The statement credited to Femi Fanikayode is but inordinately unfortunate.
