General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Williams F. Kumuyi said people should not be agitated over perception that Nigeria could be Islamised.
Upon arriving Calabar for his church’s three day revival activities, Kumuyi, who spoke to journalists at the airport, said the process can be very tedious and cumbersome.
He said, “Imposing one religion on a country takes a long process and as such, nobody can islalmise or Christianise Nigeria.
Reacting to alleged killing of Christians, Kumuyi said no religion advocates the killing of others, so the reported killing of Christians in some parts of the country has to be investigated before reaching a conclusion on who carried out the killings.
He said, “We are passing through a stage though this is one of the worst recessions in the country and we cannot put the blame on one thing or person as the cause of it because different things contributed at different times to the climax we have now.”
