The Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party has called an emergency meeting to discussed the crisis rocking the party and look into the committee report of the reconciliation team headed by Prof. Jerry Gana
PUNCH gathered that the meeting might be stormy and that far-reaching decisions might be taken on how to re-position the party.
The meeting is to be presided over by the Chairman of the Board, Senator Walid Jibrin, today in Abuja.
The meeting would discuss the report of the Prof. Jerry Gana-led peace committee which was set up by the BoT to negotiate with the aggrieved members of the party, especially the faction led by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.
The report of the committee was submitted to the board two days before the last botched national convention of the party scheduled for Port Harcourt, Rivers State on August 17.
