The ancient town of Ile-Ife was agog, on Wednesday, as the Ooni designate, Prince Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, arrived the city in a convoy amid cheers and jubilations from indigenes, including palace chiefs, market leaders, students and other stakeholders.
Before his arrival around 2.30 p.m., crowd of supporters and admirers of the new monarch had converged on the Ife-Ilesa interchange in front of Oduduwa University, as early as 10.30 a.m. waiting for him.
Also, another crowd, comprising Ife palace chiefs led by the Lowa of Ife, Chief Joseph Ijaodola and members of Isoro cult also waited patiently at Ife toll gate for the arrival of the new monarch.
