Pipeline vandals have killed 10 operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS at Arepo in Ogun State.
THISDAY gathered that the vandals had already vandalized one of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) pipelines in the area and were siphoning fuel when the DSS operatives stormed there. A gun duel had ensued between both parties, with the vandals gaining the upper hand as they shot from bushes in the creeks.
However, unlike in past attacks on security agencies, where the vandals also seized the corpses and buried them in shallow graves, the DSS were able to recover theirs.
