The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that the police action against members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Ekiti earlier today was done to "maintain law and order.”
PDP Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh according to Sahara Reporters said members of the #PDP returning from a massive rally headlined by President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday came under attack today by #APC members, therefore necessitating police intervention to protect party members subjected to mob attack from the rival party.
He however didn't offer more details.
