The photo above went viral on social media, with several captions saying the popular Nigerian actor was bribing policemen to influence votes in the interest of his party.
Desmond Elliot has however responded to these allegations on Twitter, saying: "its not possible I wear Agbada to the polling unit, and my initials DOE clearly written.."
And he added: "tweethearts please remain focused and prayerful, I didn't bribe my way to where God has placed me, is it now that I will start.. and what am I bribing them for again?"
He also uploaded this photo, with the caption: "just back from my polling unit with granny..."
