At least 30 people were reported dead and 40 wounded during a funeral bombing in in Pakistan's Baluchistan province. Nearly half the top police commanders Baluchistan province have been killed.
The funeral was in honour of a police inspector who was short by insurgents. Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying it was revenge for a recent crackdown on Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, an ally of al-Qaeda.
Other militants said they thought Lashkar-e-Jhangvi was the more likely suspect because the Pakistani Taliban lacked the local resources to launch any such operation in Quetta.
