Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd, has been granted bail by the Rivers State Police Command after spending five days in Police custody. Llyod was arrested over the alleged murder of one Kingsley Ejehuo, and Mr. Urang Obediah, a police sergeant.
Mr. Emenike Ebete, Llyod's lawyer said the lawmaker was granted bail on a condition that he must deposit his International Passport with the police and provide two sureties. One of the sureties is expected to deposit a Certificate of Occupancy of his (surety) property.
