The Kano State Police Command has dislodged a notorious abduction hub in the famous Falgore forest and arrested 11 suspected kidnappers and rescued 10 victims.
The state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Rabiu Yusuf said the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad engaged the kidnappers in a fierce gun duel for almost an hour at the first and second gates before the main camp was penetrated, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the eventual rescue of the abducted victims.
He said some of the kidnappers had escaped into the forest with bullet wounds, saying two out of the 10 rescued persons, Bello Saleh and Mohammmed Sani both of Rafin Kura Village were abducted on the very day the police carried out the operation.
