The privatised Generation Companies (Gencos) and Distribution Companies (Discos) may make their shares available to the Nigeria public by 2017, the Minister of Power, Prof Chinedu Nebo, has said.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos, Prof Nebo said government may review the initial agreement with successor companies of five years before they can list their shares on the exchange, to three years.
He said government has entered agreement with buyers to make sure that Nigerians benefit from the privatised successor companies.
