President-elect, Adama Barrow has written to the people of The Gambian ahead of Thursday's inauguration despite Yahya Jammeh's refusal to hand over power after losing December election, Nigerian Bulletin gathered.
Recall that on Sunday, eight-year-old son of Gambian President-elect Adama Barrow died after being bitten by a dog.
Habibou Barrow was reported to have died on the way to the hospital after the ugly incident in Manjai near Banjul.
Adama, not weaken by the loss, on Tuesday said: “Family is the most sacred and precious gift — we must be grateful of those who surround us."
President Yahya Jammeh is refusing to step down after unsuccessful bids by West African leaders for him to hand over power peacefully.
