President Goodluck Jonathan according to Sahara Reporters, seems to be having problems finding the words with which to congratulate the new Emir of Kano.
Jonathan controversially sacked Sanusi a few months ago as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, and he and the Peoples Democratic Party reporredly did everything to prevent Sanusi from gaining the powerful title of Emir of Kano.
However, General Muhammadu Buhari says it was God that elevated Sanusi Lamido Sanusi to the throne, and has advised him to rule with divine fear.
The former Head of State, in a press statement told the new Emir he has been chosen by God and so should fear God and treat all the people of Kano as those under his care and supervision.
“Your immediate duty is to rally the people to support the government in fighting terrorism and unrest. You should also bring your wealth of experience in assisting the economic revival of the state and the country," he said.
