Indigenes of Oduoha in Emohua Local Government area of Rivers state have protested the citing of an Ebola quarantine center in their community.

DAILY POST reported that the protesters shut the site until the Rivers state Commissioner for Health, Sampson Parker intervened.

Parker assured the people of their safety. He said, "We are taking all precautionary measures to make sure that everyone in the community is protected and whatever their fears are will be assuaged.

"We chose the health center because it is one health center that is kept away from the community. Whatever needs the community may have we will take care of it.

"As for their fears, all we need do is to go there and discuss with them", Parker added inviting the community to dialogue.
