The Council of State on Tuesday promised Nigerians heart warming news concerning the abducted schoolgirls of Chibok after it was comprehensively briefed by President Jonathan and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki, on the imminent rescue of the girls.
Rising from its meeting which was presided over by Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, the Council of State also advised the media to be sensitive and less sensational in reportage of insurgency in the country so as not to be perceived as celebrating terrorism.
The Council mandated Governors Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom); Adams Oshiomhole (Edo); and Ramallan Yero (Kaduna) to brief the press on the outcome of the meeting.
