The appointment of Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu as the very first Vice-Chancellor of the just established Jigawa State University, Kafin Hausa, has been approved by the state governor, Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State.
The appointment, according to Prof. Haruna Wakili, the Education Commissioner the appointment took effect immediately.
This will not be Ribadu's first try at being a Vice Chancellor of a University as he is the just past Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Yola.
