Five suspected ritualist wielding firearms invaded an Ado-Ekiti general hospital around 1:00 am on Sunday with the ludicrous demand of being provided with new born babies.
The hospital, located along Irona area in Ado-Ekita had their staff subjected to assault and molestation by the armed suspects, who demanded for a particular baby said to have been delivered earlier in the previous day.
When a comment was sought from Mr Tope Olanipekun, the Chairman of Ado Local Government, he only had this to say: "this is a new twist to crime in the area’’.
To his credit, it was claimed that the Chairman did go to visit the hospital after the incident and described the entire incident as "highest point of callousness on the part of the perpetrators.’’
