The political quagmire rocking the Rivers State House of Assembly, had a new twist added to it yesterday, as one of the main actors and self-styled ‘Speaker’ of the state’s House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bipi has been threatened with incarceration during the incoming yuletide period if he continues to parade himself as the House Speaker.
In a statement signed and issued yesterday by the Special Aide on Media and Public Affairs to the acting chairman, Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Party, APC, Chief Chukwuemeka Eze, a copy of which is in possession National Mirror, the party warned the leader of the six anti-Amaechi lawmakers in the state, Hon. Evans Bipi, “to desist from further parading himself as Speaker of the State House of Assembly or risk spending his Christmas in the prison.”
