Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party ( #PDP ) Rivers State, Mr. Felix Amaechi Obuah, has denied any knowledge of the party giving an automatic ticket to the Minister of State for Education, Honourable Nyesom Wike, for the 2015 governorship election in the state.
The Rivers PDP boss, who dropped the hint in a chat with journalists in Abuja yesterday, also dismissed the insinuation that the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has endorsed Wike to take over the leadership of the State in 2015.
While denying an automatic ticket for Wike, Obuah said: “I’m not aware that PDP has given Wike or anybody any automatic ticket. I don’t know anything about that and I want to also add that INEC has not endorsed anything of such. Let me make it clear that we are going to follow laid down principle in electing whoever becomes the candidate of the party.”
