The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has kicked against what it described as hurried release by security agencies, of aides of Governor Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, who were arrested during the March 19 legislative rerun election in the state.
Chairman of APC in the state, Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday by his special assistant on media and publicity, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, urged security agencies to explain why the detained trio were allowed to go home.
‘‘We are shocked and left speechless by the speed with which the secretary to Rivers State Government, Mr. Kenneth Kobani, Wike’s special assistant on special projects, Mr. Cyril Dum Wite, and Wike’s chief of staff, Emeka Woke, were released and allowed to go home despite the overwhelming evidence against them.
