Chief Davies Ikanya, the Interim Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers, told newsmen on Friday in Port Harcourt that the sate has made preparations to ensure that the state congress scheduled for April 26 is conducted peacefully.
The party leader said that arrangements had been concluded with the Police and the Department of State Security to ensure hitch free exercise.
“We are expecting over 2,400 delegates to participate in the APC congress scheduled to hold at the Civic Centre in Port Harcourt."
“We anticipate a smooth and successful congress that will elect more than 26 officers in accordance with the party’s rules,” he added.
