Two monorail trains broke down at Alton Towers leaving eighty people stuck for an hour, BBC reports.
The park's Air rollercoaster was also temporarily stopped on Wednesday afternoon, with some people stranded in mid-air for 20 minutes.
A spokesman for Alton Towers said a sensor was activated on one train that caused it to stop and then a second train travelling behind it was automatically shut down by the system.
Alton Towers has apologised and said the affected monorail train had been removed pending inquiries.
It took an hour to walk 80 people off the monorail using the evacuation walkways while no injuries have been reported.
The park had previously said it would introduce stricter safety procedures following the Smiler crash which left the legs of two women, 20-year-old Vicky Balch and 17-year-old Leah Washington, amputated following the crash on June 2.
