Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has finally embraced the emergence of Alhaji Mohammed Sani Omolori as the new Clerk of the National Assembly, as part of fresh moves aimed at restoring stability in the Senate and National Assembly.

As chairman of the National Assembly, Saraki had last month commenced reconciling with his political adversaries ‎in the Red Chamber by appointing them to chair of key committees.

It would be recalled that trouble started when the Senate President engaged the executive chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Adamu Fika, in unfriendly exchange of letters over the appointment of Omolori.

But it was gathered that shortly after he was confirmed as substantive clerk last Monday, Omolori initiated the reconciliation so as to facilitate a peaceful working environment in the National Assembly.

The peace deal received a boost when former Senate President, David Mark, who enjoyed a stable National Assembly throughout his eight-year tenure, involved in the arrangement to reconcile Saraki with aggrieved lawmakers ‎and the bureaucracy.
