Three Nigerians who went to Saudi Arabia for the 2016 Hajj exercise have been confirmed dead.
According to Nigerian Tribune, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) confirmed the deaths. A statement by Dr Ibrahim Kana, head of the medical team, disclosed that two of the pilgrims died in Madinah and one in Makkah. He said that one of the affected pilgrims died in his sleep, while the circumstances surrounding the death of the other 2 are still unknown.
There are about 76,000 pilgrims from Nigeria in Saudi Arabia for the 2016 Hajj exercise.
