We reported earlier that the National Assembly had been shut up, reportedly because the police and SSS were trying to prevent the Speaker for the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, from entering the venue.

According to a tweet by Sahara Reporters, teargas was also used to disperse the members of the House of Representatives.
