Sports Senate President David Mark leading government delegation to cheer Super Eagles in Brazil

Senate President David Mark,is leading a government delegation to cheer the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

Nigeria's Super Eagles on Tuesday evening touched down in Sao Paolo for the competition and will on Monday play its first game against Iran.

In a letter on Tuesday,President Goodluck Jonathan mandated David Mark to lead the Nigerian delegation that included government officials,to the tournament.

Mark will convey the President's message to the Super Eagles team before their first game against Iran on Monday.

Chairman Senate Committee on Sports, Senator Adamu Gumba and his House of Representatives’ counterpart Godfrey Gaiya would both be on the trip,representing their colleagues from the House of Assembly.

Minister of Sports, Tamuno Danagogo, Minister of State Foreign Affairs 1, Prof. Viola Onwuliri, and Commissioner of Police Kola Sodipo will represent the cabinet members.

Governors of Cross River State, Liyel Imoke,and also Katsina State Governor, Shehu Shema,will be part of the delegation,as well as the Federal Capital Territory Minister Bala Mohammed, Culture and Tourism’s Edem Duke, Youth Development Minister, Boni Haruna.
