According to a report from New Telegraph, members of the Senate Appropriation Committee are afraid that the current crisis rocking the House of Representatives over padding of the 2016 budget would spill over to them.
Someone familiar with the matter said the "anticipated padding controversy may not be seen in the Senate, but I can tell you that some senators are jittery because of the trouble in the House,”
However, members of the committee have decided to keep mum and those who were unhappy with the way the Chairman, Sen. Danjuma Goje, handled the 2016 budget have also agreed that they would not truncate the truce recently brokered in the Senate.
