A World Health Organization worker has contracted the Ebola virus while attending to sick victims in Sierra Leone.
According to a WHO statement, this would be the first time a WHO official would be contracting the viral disease. The WHO, however, has stated that it is still unclear how the worker contracted the disease but promises that it would spare nothing to ensure that the victim is appropriately treated.
In other news, the British citizen that was infected with the virus in Sierra Leone is being flown home, the British Department of Health says.
