Whoever came up with the idea to launch a cyber attack to stop Sony from unveiling its new movie 'The Interview' probably have no idea about publicity stunts!

Sony has announced that "The Interview" has earned more than $15 million in online sales and another $2.8 million in theaters, as reported by Reuters.

Sony revealed on Sunday that the comedy movie has been rented over two million times online within four days, making it the studio's No 1 online movie of all time.

The FBI has named North Korea as the brain behind the cyber attack aimed at stopping Sony from showing the movie in theaters, online, or public, in any other form.

Now its hard to draw a line between movie promotion and armtwisting. If only the hackers knew they were promoting Sony's movie, may they wouldn't have hacked the studio. What are your thoughts?
