Nadine Gordimer, South African Nobel Prize-winning author has died at the age of 90, the guardian reported.
Gordimer died peacefully on Sunday evening at her Johannesburg home in the presence of her children, Hugo and Oriane, a statement from the family said.
Godimer won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1991. Three of her books were banned under the apartheid regime's censorship laws.
Godimer was one of the first people Nelson Mandela asked to see when he was released in 1990.
