A South African man has been shot dead by police after he refused to stop eating the body of a woman he had killed. Instead, after several warnings, he attacked the police officers with a knife. He was then taken down by a blanket of bullets.
Aphiwe Mapekula, 23, had been reported to the police by his mother when she saw what he was doing to the 35 year old Thembisa Masumpa, who apparently did odd jobs at their house.
