Nigeria - The Southwest caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party has asked the National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu and other members of the National Working Committee, to resign without delay, Street Journal says.
A communiqué read by the PDP leader in the Zone , Chief Bode George, after the three hours closed door meeting stated unequivocally that members of the NWC must resign their positions and return home to work for the party.
The zone commended President Goodluck Jonathan for conceding defeat despite the noticeable flaws in the presidential poll , saying this had allowed prevented mayhem from breaking out across the nation.
The party spoke in Ado Ekiti on Friday during a meeting of its South West Presidential Contact and Mobilization Committee hosted by Fayose in Ado Ekiti , where party leaders from the six States in the Geo-political Zone had attended.
