Kaduna United general manager, Garba Lawal has admitted that he was impressed by his team's performance against the Super Eagles as the coach Stephen Keshi continues their preparations ahead of their June 13 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in Kaduna.

Nigeria defeated Kaduna United 4-0, all goals which came in the second half of the game and the former Eagles winger hailed his boys for frustrating Keshi’s foreign based strikers inside the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Tuesday.

Lawal insisted that his side was not the toughest opposition the Eagles will come up against but the friendly could serve as a glimpse of what is to come on Saturday when Nigeria face Chad in their first qualification game for the 2017 AFCON.

"The game ended 4 nil, it was a fantastic game, the Super Eagles found it difficult to convert chances in the first half but we were lucky our goal keeper was up to the task. And we changed the entire team in the second half"

"Friendly games are a different ball game and we know our team is not the strongest side, but sometimes the small team gives you the most worry. At the end of the day though, a professional if you consider it is always more experienced." footballlive
