A runner has been hailed as "Super Ironwoman" after she plunged into Hong Kong's typhoon-whipped waters to save a drowning man. Typhoon Utor brought high winds and rough waters to Hong Kong, shutting down schools and bringing public services to a halt on Wednesday
“Super Ironwoman” Louise Chow was jogging along Victoria Harbour when she spotted dozens of people gathering to watch the attempted rescue of a man, with waters churned by gusts of more than 100 km/ hr. Clutching a life preserver, she plunged into the water, grabbed the man and pulled him to land.
The 24-year-old man who was from Shenzhen was trying to kill himself. Police said he had a case of mental illness. He was taken to a hospital where he is in stable condition.
