Tanzanian President, John Magufuli has banned wearing of mini skirts, in the country Kenya's Standard media, reports.

The move comes just a few months after the country banned "twerking".

According to The Net, the provocative dance was banned following an announcement by Cultural Development Director Herman Mwansoko.

Mwansoko disclosed that twerking supposedly threatened original dances and impacted negatively on the new generation.

Magufuli seems to have followed in much the same vein, announcing that mini skirts and short dresses encourage the spread of HIV/Aids.

Tanzanian women have since been given three weeks to rid their wardrobes of the "offending" garments.

I don't think so. He/she sounds like an e-warrior. You know, those people who are very powerful behind their keyboards on social media and are very meek in person. Someone like Senator benMurrayBruuusse
@Warrior, come and defend yourself.

@Lequte, be careful how you mention that senator. You know he is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Twitter affairs, you might just be banned on Twitter :D
