An unidentified man on Wednesday afternoon attacked the Houses of Parliament in London, killing a woman and injuring many others.
According to reports, the attacker mowed down several pedestrians with a vehicle at Westminster Bridge before crashing into some railings.
He then got down, pulled out a knife and ran into the Palace of Westminster, stabbing an officer in the process. He also brought out a gun and starting shooting. There was pandemonium as people ran helter-skelter.
MPs said they had heard three or four gunshots and staff inside Parliament were told to stay inside their offices.
Prime Minister Theresa May was seen being ushered into a silver Jaguar car as what sounded like gunfire rang out at Parliament during the incident. Sources say she's safe.
The attacker was eventually shot by police officers, and is now dead. The police say they are treating the incident as a terrorist incident.
