Lagos State Athletics coach,Uremu Adu has boasted that the state will produce many 'Blessing Okagbares' in the future.
Adu noted that they have young athletes with great potentials who can follow in the paths of Okagbare in doing great exploits in the sport.
The coach said that the athletes were discovered through its effective grassroots programmes,focused mainly on secondary school students.
“I can categorically say that we have an effective grassroots programme that is well supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Sports.
“I believe we will produce the future Okagbare because we already have young talents that can fit into her shoes,’’ Adu told the News Agency of Nigeria(NAN)
Lagos is expected to participate at the forthcoming National Sports Festival in Calabar with these athletes discovered at the grassroots.
